9 Animes that Needs a Remake Now!


They are great, they are intriguing, most of all they are something more than you want and; they are animes that deserves a remake. These shows are mostly from 70’s to late 90’s but they are as epic as you can imagine. We’ve made this list based on both popularity and quality. So here it goes - 

9. Trigun

There is no doubt about the quality of this anime but this show will be better if little flaws are being erased for a remake. The plot and characters are amazing though they will need a little improvisation if there is a remake. The main reason for a Trigun remake will be its popularity and a remake will satisfy both the old as well as new fans.

8. Soul Eater

May be not as good as the previous one but this one has a huge fan base for sure. With a little re-editing effort  omission of unnecessary scenes this will be a great show to watch. Fans of Soul Eater show will be really happy with news of remaking, while new viewers will certainly get an awesome show.

7. Fist of The North Star 

This one is a classic and famous for both it's anime and manga. It’s a bit older than other anime of our list. This show needs a remake for the sake of recognition. Most of this century’s fans have no idea about this masterpiece called Fist of The North Star. A remake will not disappoint them for sure.

6. City Hunter

This mature anime was famous for both its plot and characters. The main appeal of this show was its great animation though it was from the early 80’s. Not so well known among young anime lovers so has less fan base. But City Hunter deserves a remake for its own sake to establish that it is one of the very best anime out there.

5. Slam Dunk

This sports anime is still famous among all anime lovers, then why it needs a remake??? Because, many new sports anime has emerged with better visuals but not so good story-line. Slam Dunk has a very intense and dynamic story-line; so, if a remake is out in the industry surely it will be a huge success. New anime fans as well as the old ones will be at the edge of their sit for this one.

4. Cowboy Bebop

This one is a classic too, but not in a dying need of a remake. Old one is actually pretty good but in near future there will be a remaking need for sure. Although it’s pretty old, every sequence was nicely handled and really has a little scope for improvement. The popularity of Cowboy Bebop removes all the speculations of a remake. But this century’s animation will make it a even better show for sure.

3. Berserk

When you are reading this you may already know that a remake has already been released, but here is a little more detail you will find worth knowing. The new remake is not really following the manga accurately or any other shows released earlier. As the manga is a huge success till now, production house should’ve done a decent manga adaption. So, in near future there will be a need of another remake of Berserk. Hope it will not disappoint us.

2. YuYu Hakusho (Ghost files) 

This Shounen anime has every element to be one of the very best in comparison with others. Only anime in the world to surpass Dragon Ball Z’s TRP rating, so fan following will not be a problem. Many unnecessary scenes can be cut out for a remake, a good example can be hunter x hunter which is from the same mangaka also. In the safe hands of renowned production houses this anime can be a shounen master piece.

1. Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai x)

The popularity as well as quality of this Samurai X A.K,A Rurouni Kenshin was never a query to do, but the anime movies and series differs a lot. While movies are considered to be masterpieces, series has a label of average anime. There were many rumors that a remake will be released but all of those were rumor only. The remake demands huge improvisation in both story line and presentation. Whoever does the remake, it will make their luck for sure.
